The Junior CHYK (Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) program provides teenagers with an opportunity to engage with Hindu philosophy, understanding its value and application in today’s contemporary world. It prepares teenagers for life’s adversities as they learn to tap into their inner, infinite potential, resulting in dynamic young women and men of integrity. These discussion-based classes are also a great way to connect with other enthusiastic youths and form a supportive, spiritually-inclined community. Register for the Family Program to begin these engaging, weekly Junior CHYK classes.
I am so grateful for the last 8 years in this program and will miss it dearly. The lessons of Balavihar have shaped who I am and how I interact with others, teaching me respect, empathy, compassion and so much more. It has guided and supported me through personal experiences I have been through. I really have to thank the mission for creating such an open and safe space for teaching these topics.
My five years at Chinmaya Mission have taught me to recognise and comprehend both positive and negative circumstances in life, helping me to grow and prosper not only in scripture knowledge but also as a person. Chinmaya mission’s events have helped me open up by expressing my perspective and gaining self-confidence.
I have been a part of Chinmaya Mission for the past 4 years. I really love coming to Chinmaya Mission every week and learning a lot about spirituality and Hinduism. These classes have been something that I look forward to, as I find learning about the different methods to keep your spiritual health extremely fascinating. Chinmaya Mission’s classes have given me so many new opportunities like volunteering, organising, hosting different events and programs.
We host a range of classes nationally, across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth. To register, we offer a Family Program or individual CHYK subscription.
