Our Programs - Explore

From infants to primary school students, the Chinmaya Mission has a series of unique programs that invite children to explore the world of Hindu epics and tales, instilling values and devotion through engaging classes.

Infants (Baby Shishu Vihar)

The early years are pivotal for the development of a child. As they are exposed to the world and its interactions, they begin to form ideas, have morals and develop a personality. The Shishu Vihar program has been thoughtfully designed as a parent-assisted class to introduce infants to Hindu Gods and their noble values, instilling devotion, curiosity and compassion. Through enjoyable, dynamic activities such as singing, dancing, games, art and yoga, the Shishu Vihar classes are the perfect environment for learning.

Pre-School (Shishu Vihar)

As children begin to grow and develop, so does their curiosity of the world around them. In a parent-assisted class format, the Shishu Vihar program for pre-schoolers helps to cultivate their insatiable inquisitiveness and love for learning by introducing them to fascinating epics and tales about Hindu Gods. Through these stories and a variety of fun-filled activities such as singing, dancing, arts and crafts, acting and yoga, pre-schoolers will be equipped with values and virtues to guide them as they grow and navigate the outside world.

Primary School (Bala Vihar)

The Bala Vihar program consists of engaging classes, organised by age-group, to guide primary school students as they grow and bloom into young individuals. Through dynamic, stimulating and unique activities, Bala Vihar enhances the overall development of children at all levels: physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. The classes help cultivate values, life skills, morals and personality, equipping these young minds to remain resilient, focused, ambitious and compassionate in the face of challenges.

Testimonials

I love Chinmaya Mission classes because I enjoy the amazing activities that we do based on what we are learning. It is also fun to listen to our teachers telling us the stories such as Ramayana stories.

My triplets, Aadhi, Ram and Meera have been attending shishuvihar sessions for over a year now. They love the bhajans, stories and games from SV and talk about them / sing the songs through the week. I would recommend SV to any parent who wants to sow the seeds of spirituality and Hindu culture at an early age in their children’s lives.

Parent

I like Chinmaya Mission classes because they teach children about Indian culture as well as good habits that we can pass on into the future. I enjoy the stories of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Chinmaya Mission has taught me to become a better person in the future and has taught me more about the richness of my culture. I am so lucky to have a community like this because I have now understood my culture better than I used to.
