Rama Navami Festival Experience

It was Sunday Morning at about 9.00AM and devotees started flowing in to the Chinmaya Sannidhi Ashram to get front row positions to have darshan of the Rama Parivar in their new clothes.
The program was to start at 10.00AM. At 10AM the pooja began with Br Gopalji guiding the proceedings.
After a beautiful pooja and Abhishek. Br Gopalji invited the devotees to sing some bhajans in the glory of Lord Rama.
After the bhajans, we headed outside to the Sannidhi backyard and watched the Balavihar children and Junior CHYKs of Castle Hill put on a wonderful show.

On the 15th of February, a Hanuman Havan was held by Chinmaya Mission Mumbai. This day saw many devotees gather to chant the Hanuman Chalisa 108 times for world peace, and in the wake of the recent events in Mumbai. Co-incidentally, it was also Swami Swaroopanand’s fiftieth birthday and his hundredth gnana yagna (public talks on Hanuman chalisa), which made the day extra-special. Written by Sant Tulsidasji, the Hanuman Chalisa is a invocation prayer to Lord Hanuman and is in the form of a poem which comprises of forty verses, or chaupais.
