Chinmaya Mission Australia (Sydney) organised a Ladies (Devi) Residential Retreat Camp with Br Gopal Chaitanya (Acharya of Chinmaya Misson Australia) on 30th to 31st July 2010. Fifteen ladies availed themselves of the opportunity to receive guidance from Br Gopalji on the best way to live their lives thru this camp on "The Gita Guidance to Life".

After 'ice breaker' activity, we moved into the learning process with Br Gopalji’s classes. Early on the 31st, we gathered for japa and meditation practice then continued with further classes and learning.

Slowly walking through the leafy entrance of 38 Carrington Drive Castlehill, fifteen or so CHYKs set down their bulky luggage packs onto the carpet. Somewhat unsure of what to expect, they eye each other nervously as they congregate in front of a beautiful altar of Ram, Lakshman, Sita and Hanuman.

On Sunday January 10th, Chinmaya Mission family and friends all gathered at Crestwood Community Centre Cricket Ground to partake in the 6th Annual Chinmaya Cricket Match.

Naresh and Nik were the two appointed captains by the Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Sydney Br Gopalji, teams were chosen, and Naresh chose to bat after winning the toss.

Shri Hanuman Chalisa - The secret of Success.

Sydney welcomed back Swami Swaroopananda Regional Head of Australasia for the above talks. Swami Swaroopananda is a disciple of His Holiness Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, the founder of Chinmaya Mission.

Swami Swaroopananda was here, after his very successful Hanuman Havan held in Mumbai on the 15th of February 2009 for world peace.

The talks were held at the Bahai Centre in Silverwater from 19 June to the 25th June 2009. This was Swamiji’s 101st Talk on the Hanuman Chalisa.

I was inspired to write my experience and understanding of the Hanuman Chalisa after listening to the discourse on Hanuman Chalisa by Swami Swaroopanandaji.

Swamiji’s discourse was in Sydney from Friday June 19 to Thursday June 25, 2009.

Fifteen ladies left their families, work, etc. behind to enjoy each others company and be in satsang with our Acharya Br. Gopal-ji at the Ashram for a retreat “Practices for Success and Happy Living” on 18th - 19th September 2009. The text was Sadacarah by Adi Sankaracarya Ji. Commentary written beautifully by Swamini Vimalananda. It was befitting that we had gathered for this retreat on the eve of Navaratri. What an Omen!!!

A little boy aged 6, named Pranav, from Melbourne, flew up to Sydney, to recite the 31 slokas he had memorised, a promise he made to Br Gopalji. With his fabulous chanting and the presence of the devotees present eager to know the Supreme Secret of Victory, the Yagna was off to a very auspicious start.

It was Sunday Morning at about 9.00AM and devotees started flowing in to the Chinmaya Sannidhi Ashram to get front row positions to have darshan of the Rama Parivar in their new clothes.

The program was to start at 10.00AM. At 10AM the pooja began with Br Gopalji guiding the proceedings.

After a beautiful pooja and Abhishek. Br Gopalji invited the devotees to sing some bhajans in the glory of Lord Rama.

After the bhajans, we headed outside to the Sannidhi backyard and watched the Balavihar children and Junior CHYKs of Castle Hill put on a wonderful show.
