Castle Hill Balvihar ran its first ever Talent Quest in Sydney in March – April 2012. Almost a hundred enrolments were received for the Art competition, Writing competition, Bhajan chanting competition and Geeta chanting competition with was held at Chinmaya Sannidhi. » Read more
Bhagavad Gita Bala Yagna - 30 March 2012 – 8 April 2012
Bhagad Gita Bala Yagna was conducted as part of the Grand Finale celebrations of Chapter 18 of the Gita, by Chinmaya Mission Sydney.
Br Gopal Chaitanya conducted this yagna with support from the Bala Vihar and Hindu Scripture class sevaks, for the duration of 10 days. The Bala Yagna took place concurrently with the adult yagna. This workshop was conducted free of charge. » Read more
Our Swami Swaroopanandaji, Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission Australasia vowed the audience in Sydney at the beginning of this month, with his talks on the above, as part of his Australian Tour.
The hall at the Bahai Centre, Silverwater was near full capacity each night for the above talks on Chapter 18 of the Gita. Many devotees who had attended all of Swami Ji’s seventeen previous talks on the Gita, as well as new devotees were excited, and were filled with anticipation awaiting the arrival of Swami Ji to the hall. » Read more
After a highly successful Balvihar Fete last year, the Chinmaya Mission sevaks from Balvihar prepared for another Fete with huge support from the Chinmaya family.
So on the 17th of June, the sevaks arrived at the new and improved venue to begin setting up for what was going to be an entertaining and exciting day. The food stalls were set on the outside while several interesting games and challenges Ananya’s scrumptious treats! were setup on the inside of Crestwood Community Centre. » Read more
On the 6th of July, Chinmaya Mission Australia (Sydney) held their family camp at the Bundilla Scout Hall with Br
Gopalji.
Everyone gathered inside the main hall to play icebreaker games; the parents needed to write down “Why God” and the children needed to say what they expected from their parents. After that, delicious cupcakes and yummy samosas were served for morning tea.
Soon after, Gopalji told a story about three princes, who wanted to find out about Who is God, What is God, Where is God? After lunch we played family Olympics in the main hall. » Read more
Art of Parenting
We had a great time at the Chinmaya family camp. It was a nice weekend away with other families. It was a delight for parents to see the children running around and playing good old games like lagori and chasing each other and having some plain fun rather than playing with their computers and Xboxes. » Read more
