The first ever Balvihar Camp conducted by the Chinmaya Mission in Adelaide was held over two days and one night on the 3rd and 4th of October in the beautiful and serene Adelaide Hills. A group of 23 to 27 children and 6 sevaks along with Brahmachari Gautam spent two beautiful, inspiring and fun filled days in prayer, story telling, fun activities and self development. The children listened with rapt attention as Brahmachari Gautam narrated the life of Hanumanji and explained how they too could incorporate the priceless qualities of Hanumanji into their own lives.» Read more
Swami Swaroopananda's Nov/Dec Australian Tour

Chinmaya Mission Australia (Sydney)'s Canberra Centre had the wonderful fortune of having Brahmachari Gopal Chaitanyaji (Acharya of Sydney & Canberra & Adelaide) down with us for the weekend of the 14th-15th of April. Gopalji arrived on Saturday morning to meet and greet with the Canberra sevaks and to provide some valuable advice and guidance to improve the quality of the Chinmaya classes (Adult: Bhagavad Geeta, Teenagers: Hindu Culture, Youth: Self Unfoldment).

Swami Swaroopanandaji will be touring Australia in June, delivering talks and workshops, both in Melbourne as well as Sydney. In addition, a very special event will be held at the Chinmaya Dham in Melbourne for installation of the Guru Paadukas. The long-awaited moment of installing Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's Paadukas (holy sandals) at the Chinmaya Dham ashram has arrived. Swami Swaroopanandaji will install the Paadukas, and all are invited to attend this auspicious occasion.

Several of our Melbourne CHYKs went to Coimbatore, India to the Chinmaya International Residential School where CHYKs had a fabulous camp with Swami Swaroopananda called "7 Days, 7 Powers". Here is a short write up from that camp.
In December 2006, a group of 70 CHYKs from all over the world assembled at the picturesque Chinmaya International Residential School in Coimbatore for the first ever global CHYK camp ‘7 Days, 7 Powers’.
