Vedanta Course 2008-2010

HIS HOLINESS SWAMI TEJOMAYANANDA, HEAD OF CHINMAYA MISSION WORLDWIDE, INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE 14th VEDANTA COURSE (study of the Upanishads, Bhagavad Geeta, and other Vedantic literature)

ELIGIBILITY: University graduates men or women unmarried, free from family encumbrances, Aged 20-30 years, with a sincere interest in the study of Vedanta and a zeal to propagate the message of Rishis.

CHIEF ACHARYA: Swami Tejomayananda

RESIDENT ACHARYA: Swami Advaitananda and other visiting Acharyas of Chinmaya Mission

COURSE DURATION: Two years, Residential, No holidays.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 15th March 2008.

CONTRIBUTION: Contribution payable by international students / guest students towards boarding, lodging, medical expenses, etc. will be communicated at the time of interview.

INTERVIEW: Personal interviews of all candidates will be conducted. Specific locations will be intimated.

After completing the course students may opt to work for Chinmaya Mission or pursue their individual goals.

Advanced E-Vedanta and Postal Vedanta Courses

You may already be aware that the Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF - www.chinfo.org) is already offering a Foundation Postal Vedanta Course and E-Vedanta Course. This is to bring to your attention a new Advanced Postal Vedanta and E-Vedanta Courses has been launched by the CIF on July 10, 2006. These will be one-year home-study courses and are aimed at providing clarity and depth to one's Vedantic study. All important Vedantic concepts dealt with in the introductory texts, such as Tattva Bodha, Atma Bodha, Vakya Vritti, Panchadashi, Vivekachudamani and so on are covered in a series of 24 detailed lessons. Please note that it is not a hard and fast rule that only those who have already completed the CIF Foundation Postal or E-Vedanta Course should register for this Advanced Course.
