It has been said ‘Every discussion about change must be preceded by a conversation about continuity’. In this Einsteinian world of flux where change seems to be the only permanent thing that we consciously bring upon ourselves - like change of job or migration from one country to another, and others that are natural and inevitable - like aging, the only thing that is permanent is our own Self. Over 60 years ago Pujya Swami Chinmayananda started the tradition of inquiry into this only factor that provides continuous witness to all the changes in our lives. The discourse series held by Swami Swaroopananda on the 6th Chapter of Bhagavad Gita from 21st to 27th May 2010 at John Curtin College of Performing Arts in Fremantle, Western Australia, were truly a continuation of that tradition set by Pujya Gurudev.

Swamiji, like a master, unfolded answers to the profound questions like - what really is meditation? Why should we meditate and how? What is the goal of meditation? What are the pitfalls and how to avoid them successfully? The mystic journey that Swamiji took the Perth audience on was in itself an experience in meditation. A feature that proved to be hugely popular with the audience was the guided meditation sessions that Swamiji held during the discourses.

Swamiji also met the Balvihar children and parents during his visit. A cultural program was organized where Bal Vihar children demonstrated what they have been learning in these classes and how it has benefited them during the last 7-8 years.
