Meditation In Daily Life

Event Image:
Date and Time:
Sunday, December 25, 2005 - 06:30
Venue:
Chinmaya Dham, 4 Pioneer Drive, Templestowe VIC 3106.
Description:
Morning talks by Swami Swaroopananda on the Taittiriya Upanishad.
Living life to its fullest requires complete knowledge of oneself. We are made up of five layers of personalities, which very often are in conflict with each other, never satisfied.
How to have satisfaction at all levels and transcend the limitations of these matter envelopments to dicover our Infinite, Complete and Blissful Self, is the theme of this Upanishad. Its special convocation address on the art of right living and its unique method of meditation makes it the most special Upanishad.
The importance of this Upanishad can very well be gauged from the fact that Shankaracharya's first commentary was on this Upanishad, as also in his Bhasya (commentary) on Brahma Sutras he quoted this Upanishad 147 times.
The unique feature of this Upanishad is that it explains the subjective reality in the seeker both by direct and indirect methods. A lucid description of the 5 sheaths of human personality is found for the first time here in this Upanishad.
A must for all spiritual seekers as well as those who wish to mould their family, self, as well as the society for a wonderful life of achievement and fulfilment.
