Salutations to Swami Chinmayananda
O Gurudev,
You are Brahma …
Creator of Chinmayaloka, a spiritual
realm on earth
whose foundations are Knowledge,
sacrifice and service
which is sustained by the power of love.
dedication to truth, surrender of the ego,
devotion to the people,
and devotion to the Supreme Self
Pranaams to you , Gurudev,
Creator of the heavenly abodes of
Sandeepany, Utterkasi and Siddhabari

You are Vishnu …
Protector of Dharma, performer of
more than 400 sacred Jnana Yagnas
in all corners of the world
Author of countless commentaries
on the teachings of the Upanishads
and the Holy Geeta.

Preserver of the culture of the Rishis.
Sustainer of life for countless poor
And sick people of the villages of India
Provider for the women and children
Of the Himalayan hills and mountains.
Friend and champion of the youth
you harness their energy and idealism
for doing good.

You are Maheshwara …
Supreme ascetic, renouncing home and family
You live only on biksha and sleep
each night where your holy work takes you.
Your eye of wisdom searches out, finds and
Destroys the false egos of your devotees.
Easy to please, you shower rivers of love
On those who take one step towards you.
Friend of the fallen, lost and forsaken
You make them fearless and
fill their hearts with peace.
Cosmic joker, you laugh at vanity
And remove the delusions of sincere seekers

Beloved Gurudev
You are the father and mother
of the vast worldwide Chinmaya Mission family
You are the faithful friend of your devotees
You are the source and the end of all realisation
You are the means and the goal of all Sadhana
You are beyond time and place
You answer the Call of your devotees
in all the three states of consciousness
in the three periods of time
You are nearer than the nearest
and seated in the cave of the heart.

We will sing your praises for ever and ever.
