Dear Parents,
Hari Om!!
In Term 2 2009, the Balvihar children at all centres are participating in a most auspicious event.
Construction is well underway of the Shri Pranava Ganesh Temple at Chinmaya Vibhooti near Pune, Maharastra, India. Guruji Swami Tejomayanadaji has invited all members of the Chinmaya family, and those not in the Mission to participate in writing japa for Shri Ganeshji to be placed directly under the main Moorthy (idol) in the Temple.
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain the punya (merit) and blessings of Shri Ganeshji. The Bal Vihar children will be doing some wonderful lessons on Shri Ganeshji this Term as well as the writing japa. Attached below is Guruji’s letter issued to all centres last year so you can be aware of all the details.
Guruji has invited us to do the writing japa 21 times daily for 21 weeks. It would be wonderful if the whole family was able to do this! Guruji has suggested an offering of Rs. 11 or $11 per person per week. You could do Rs. 11 or $11 per family per week OR whatever you wish.
21 times a day is a lot for little children so we suggest for the young ones, they write 21 times per week so that makes it 3 times a day. The older children should be able to do the 21 times per day. Parents will have to supervise this and establish a family routine so it is done daily. It is a real tapas.

We ask you to write the japa on A4 paper and submit them weekly to your Balvihar Centre.
