Chinmaya Mission Mumbai, under the auspices of Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, is conducting a grand "Shri Hanuman Chalisa – Chanting & Havan" (108 Shri Hanuman Chalisa Samashti Havan) on February 15 2009 which will be conducted by Swami Swaroopananda. This event is organized to offer gratitude to Hanumanji on the successful completion of 100 Gyaana Yagnas on Shri Hanuman Chalisa by Swami Swaroopananda.

Shri Hanuman Chalisa chanting and Havan is one of the most powerful rituals of our times. It is said in Hanuman Chalisa – “Jo Sat baar patha kar koi, chootahi bandhi mahaa-sukh hoi” meaning “one who chants this 108 times is freed from all afflictions and sorrows”. Especially when the chanting and havan are performed in a group, every individual gets the ‘punya’ or merits accrued by the entire group. This is the glory of group chanting. It would purify our hearts and bring peace, prosperity and progress to not only all the individuals but also to their families, societies and to the whole world. In these times of strife and mental unrest due to terrorism etc, this event is dedicated to world peace - “Loka samasta sukhino bhavantu”.

Imagine the power of 10,000 people chanting Shri Hanuman Chalisa 108 times adding up to an unbelievable lakh (100, 000) times or more of chanting with Havan!!

You are invited to join in this very rare and highly auspicious event either by participating in the havan (whole or in part) as a ‘Yajmaan’, by sponsoring items for the event or by giving donations if that is easy for you.

Whatever you do, do not miss this golden opportunity of gaining bountiful Grace of Shri Hanumanji and at the same time offering your prayers for world peace.

Please note if you wish to participate in the havan, however you or your representative is unable to attend the event in person, we will organize for someone to perform the havan on your behalf and prasad will be sent to you.

This event is gathering great momentum in Mumbai under the slogan “Chant Mumbai, Shaant Mumbai”.
