CHINMAYA ANNUAL CRICKET MATCH 2007

On Sunday 7th January, Chinmaya Mission Family and Friends had their second annual cricket match. The players were requested to come to the ground at 9AM but the cricket enthuisiasts as per the tradition they come from, all assembled and started warm up sessions at 8AM itself. By the time the game started we had 30 players and we had spectators.

Some took it so seriously that came in their whites.

Our Br. Gopalji went through the rules of the game and the conditions of play at Chinmaya Annual Cricket Match 2007.

Two captains were appointed by Br. Gopalji in the presence of our third Umpire Brni Sujataji.

The game started with 25 overs each side.

What a close performance and the game ended at around 1PM each side scoring a good 150 runs.

The spectators had a fantastic time with the thrilling close cricket match, always on the edge of their seats. Further the spectators had different fun activities organised by the CHYKs such as mendhi, games etc.

Having had an excellent cricket match the players (devotees) had their nicely cooked French Fries sponsored by the Thursday Castle Hill Devi Group.

After Lunch, the team was re-teamed and a 10 over quick dash game was played.

We enjoyed the game thoroughly and we are looking forward to another game mid year.

We like to thank Br. Gopalji for organasing a fun cricket match.

We look forward for the next encounter in January 2008. Don't miss the fun of playing real cricket with Br Gopalji and fellow devotees.
