Get up, go to work, come home, eat and sleep and get ready to face the next day. Everything you do becomes a chore, and life becomes an endless, monotonous grind. How do we cease this cycle and change our life? It was with this question in mind, on a warm spring night that the audience eagerly awaited to hear the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita through Brahmachari Gautam Chaitanya in a series of three lectures on the topic of ‘Inspirational Living’.
The lectures were given to an audience of approximately 200 people over 3 days at the Indian Australian Association hall in Adelaide between 30th Sep and 2nd October. The first lecture focused on how a person should conduct themselves in day to day activities in order to produce the best outcome for themselves and everyone around them. The following day was dedicated to how one should face the both positive and negative results they are dealt in life. The final night was devoted to how one can permanently transform various aspects of their life for the better.
As a student, life is like a rollercoaster ride with its ups and down, and sometimes it does become a chore. Listening to Brahmachari Gautam in his lively, enthusiastic manner, was an uplifting experience that made me reflect and change certain aspects of my life, which I am already benefiting from.
