The first ever Balvihar Camp conducted by the Chinmaya Mission in Adelaide was held over two days and one night on the 3rd and 4th of October in the beautiful and serene Adelaide Hills. A group of 23 to 27 children and 6 sevaks along with Brahmachari Gautam spent two beautiful, inspiring and fun filled days in prayer, story telling, fun activities and self development. The children listened with rapt attention as Brahmachari Gautam narrated the life of Hanumanji and explained how they too could incorporate the priceless qualities of Hanumanji into their own lives. He further illustrated how these qualities would help them practice the timeless values of our ancient Hindu culture in order to face life with ease and confidence.

The children also had great fun as they took part in team building activities as well as competing in the ‘Vanara’olympics organised by Sevak Gautam.

Equally enjoyable was the craft activity of making of Hanuman dolls organised by Sevak Sai Aparna who came down all the way from Melbourne to help make this a successful event. Bhajans and slokas were learnt and rendered with great enthusiasm. The two days concluded with a convocation ceremony and prasad.
