...It was time for the CHYK Mini camp "Dynamic Living" to start. I had not been to one before. But I was looking forward to it....as Gopalji progressed through the classes, I was finding that Ramayana and Hanuman stories were not just stories but had a whole new dimension of wisdom in it. Gopalji used many examples and practical demonstrations to show us that the only way one can become successful in life is to drop the strong hold of one’s own past and worries of future and excitement in the present.... It was 7.45AM when we arrived at Chinmaya Sannidhi (Ashram) on 8th July, 2008. It was filled with families swarming in and out registering their children for the Holiday Program running for three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). This is just what parents were looking forward to. For the parents three memorable days without the kids, and for kids… meeting up with old friends and a gateway to the Spiritual world.

On the 26th of July at the Agora Theatre eight months of planning and effort came into fruition on the opening night of the CHYK play ‘A day in the life’. This tale of a mother and daughters’ attempting to build careers, find love and dance the night away whilst being under the influence of a gypsy potion was written, directed and starred members of the Melbourne CHYKs who surpassed themselves in selling out two shows and generating valuable funds for the Mission’s work here and around the world.» Read more

Run Melbourne, presented by The Age, was a marathon held on the 22nd of June which allowed participants to raise money for a charity of their choosing. Almost 20,000 people took part in the Melbourne Age Run which comprised of the 5km, 7.5km, 10km and the 21.1 km half marathon. Roshni and I participated in the 21.1 km half marathon while Ajay took part in the 10 km run.
