In 1993, the Great Master, Pujya Swami Chinmayananda graced Brisbane for the Last time before His Maha Samadhi. His Holiness spoke on Bhaja Govindam. In 2012 (after 18 years), His disciple's disciple, Br. Gopal Chaitanya, Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Australia, gave Brisbane's first Gnana Yagna (Public talks) at Griffith University. A summary of the talks and learnings by a seeker is given below.

Chinmaya Mission Australia (Sydney) Brisbane Balavihar Centre held their second balavihar camp with their Br Gopal Chaitanya from 6th to 8th of July 2010.

Theme of this year’s camp was RAMA RULES! It was a three day camp including an excursion! We had many Sevaks and Volunteers helping all the way to make this camp a big success! There was about 50 kids who formed teams named Angad, Bharatha, Hanuman, Lakshmana and Sugriva.

My learnings from “Essentials of Vedanta” talks by Br Gopal Chaitanya at Brisbane Theosophical Society.

Devotees gathered on the evening of Saturday July 3rd at one of Brisbane Chinmaya Mission family’s home to be in Satsang with Br Gopal Chaitanya our Acharyaji and listen to the words of wisdom.

Being a family oriented satsang, Gopalji talked about “How to live a happy family life”. The talk attracted major interest and good laughs from all the
members of the families and made us understand our duties to make happiness in the family, society and the world.

On the 9th and 10th of July 2009, Chinmaya Mission Australia (Sydney) Brisbane Centre held their first Balavihar day camp at the Chelmer Community Hall, which turned out to be a huge success. Over 30 kids attended the camp over the 2 days and many sevaks and volunteers helped out to make this a camp to remember.
