CHYK Workshop in Perth – October 2011

The Perth Chinmaya Mission was delighted to have Gautamji visit during the October term break.
During his one week stay Gautamji had lots of things planned. At night there were lectures at Murdoch University where he shared the ‘Secrets of Joyful Living’. The evenings always started with a prayer and then the talks began. Gautamji kept his audience smiling and listening intently, by adding jokes and anecdotes into his talks. Perth CHYK Group - Term 2, 2011

The Perth CHYK group recently undertook the intriguing task to understand the Vibhishan Gita. As the scripture was written in Sanskrit and required a great deal of understanding it was quiet an enigma to some people. Our benignant teachers Ratna Aunty and Mamta Aunty took the task upon themselves to help us understand the importance of the virtues behind the Vibhishan Gita.

Perth CHYK Workshop January 2011 – Born Identity

After three evenings full of inspiring discourse on ‘Rising High in Life’ in Perth, Br. Gautamji held a youth workshop for children aged 13 to 25. The workshop consisted of three sessions with two breaks in-between. In the first session Br. Gautamji talked us through the vast differences between lifestyle and culture and clarified our understanding of the Eastern and Western cultures that we follow today. We learnt many useful ways to enjoy our Indian and Australian lifestyle. Also we learnt that the conflicts between culture and lifestyle reside in us and we alone can solve them.

With so many activities being organized and so much effort and precious time put into them that the Chinmaya mission Perth society knew that not just one but there were many exhilarating activities to look forward to. It is undeniable that Chinmaya mission has staged an absolutely outstanding and magnificent show of discourses, spiritual classes for adults, teenagers and children. Amongst all Chinmaya Mission Perth has also represented the Hindu Society of Western Australia very well.
